I have been on a rope kick lately, I found some raw 16 strand 1/4" high density poly E
that once used a few times - half dozen 200lber front deeps and the rope has some but very little give, maybe 2 inches per 70' unless your doing surface tricks etc it is more than adequate. I can make them any length I need, put in a 18" loop @ the handle end and whatever @ the pylon end and have the comfort of knowing the material was produced here in the USA not imported from china

Ron's time finally comes ....

After the Induction, I was able to ask Ron a few questions that where on the minds of our members ...
Here's how it went down.

So thanks again Ron for helping us on barefootski.com answering these few questions.

The purpose of the questions asked are in order to share your barefoot history and career with the current members of our forum.

1. What was your biggest accomplishment as a barefoot water-skier?

Winning my first overall title in England in 1992.

2. What do you enjoy most about barefoot water-skiing?

Being on the boat with friends and family in such a great atmosphere.

3. What is your favorite trick?

Tumble Turn

4. Now that you've reached your final plat-toe in the sport, how do you feel you will be able to continue to pass on the Scarpa torch?

Tough question and I don’t think it’s for me to pass on rather someone needs to step into that role. There are many great up and coming skiers who might do that.

Sincerely Ron, thanks again for giving so much to everyone you've ever met in the Sport of Barefoot Water-Skiing.
The lives you've touched and influenced are countless, your spirit for the sport will never die.

And may in fact, live on thru others that will follow in your footsteps.
